Abraham Lincoln was the first historical figure to be on a U.S. coin - which was released to commemorate his 100th birthday. This penny was also the first U.S. cent to include the words "In God We Trust.".

Montana had granted women unrestricted voting rights in 1914, 6 years before women got the vote nationally.

1935 - At the age of 26 years old, Mary was alive when on August 14, the Social Security Act was signed into law. The purpose was to "provide federal assistance to those unable to work". The Act survived many Supreme Court challenges and the Administration continues until today.

1982 - In the year of Mary Davis's passing, on June 30th, time ran out on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). The Amendment had only received 35 of the necessary 38 state ratifications.
