He had siblings Rose Irene (1915-1997), John M (1918-1992), and William L Bilka (1923-1988). He lived in Union, Broome, New York, United States. Michael served in the Army for two terms. Once from Dec 26, 1940 until October 25, 1945 and then again from Nov 5, 1952 until May 8, 1957. Michael married Emiko Geho (1925-2002) and they had two sons together.
