The clinic was not handing out birth control - just information about sex and birth control methods. The clinics and organizations that Sanger established later evolved into the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

John Nance Garner IV became the Vice-President in this election.

1972 - At the age of 56 years old, Millie was alive when on September 5th, the Palestinian terrorist group Black September, with the assistance of German neo-nazis, kidnapped and killed 11 Israeli athletes at the Olympic Games in Munich. The attackers crept into the Olympic Village and abducted the athletes while they were sleeping. A German policeman was also killed.
