    Monica's parents were Dewayne and Helen Grant. She was the third daughter, with older sisters Pamela and Stephanie. The family home was in Bloomington, Minnesota. Monica was a stunning, dark haired beauty whose loving nature shone through her every word and motion. She was married twice, the first marriage giving her daughter Jessica, and her second marriage giving her Angela and Christina. Monica was afflicted with cancer and ultimately died from its ravages in 1993. Monica brought light, beauty, grace and love to this world, and it is a terrible loss to not have her with us for the years of life she should have had.

Monica Grant married twice: the first time, she married Glen J Goettl on April 4th, 1987 in Bloomington, Minnesota and they divorced on September 29th, 1989, having had daughter Jessica. The second time. Monica married William Richard Wulf on November 22nd, 1991 in Hennepin County, Minnesota and they had two daughters, Christina and Angela.

In 1970, when she was just 7 years old, on May 4th, four students at Kent State University in Ohio were shot and killed by National Guardsmen. The students were at a peaceful demonstration protesting the invasion of Cambodia by US forces. There had been precedent for the killing of American college students. The previous year, on May 15th, Alameda County Sheriffs used shotguns against U.C. Berkeley students at a protest for People's Park. One student died, one was blinded, 128 were injured.
