Professional Career

George Morce was from Wales and emigrated to Australia with his brother. George was a stonemason mainly on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. He built the nave of St John's Church and the Mornington Hotel, now the Koonya in Sorrento. Also built several stone cottages/homes, including his own. He built the old Sorrento police station of which Lindsay Fox may own now (rumoured). George Morce is my great, great grandfather.
