Parham Booker Jeter was born to William Henry Jeter (1873 - 1947) and Anna Lillie Scott (1887 - 1963). Both of his parents were born in Georgia. Parham had six siblings, including Sallie, John, William "Willie" James, Virginia, and another Jeter brother. Parham Jeter married Versanola R. Powell (1920 - 1995) and they had a daughter, Prissy Jeter. Parham was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. He enlisted on June 10, 1942.
