1915 - Pauline was only 1 year old when in April, the Ottoman Empire rounded up, arrested, and deported 235 to 270 Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Turkey. President Roosevelt approved of all of them and most them were implemented during his terms as President. She served until his death in 1945.

1978 - Pauline was 64 years old when on November 18th, Jim Jones's Peoples Temple followers committed mass suicide in Jonestown, Guyana - where they had moved, from San Francisco, as a group. 1981 - In the year of Pauline Rewis's passing, on January 20th, Ronald Reagan became the 40th President of the United States. He ran against the incumbent, Jimmy Carter, and won 50.7% of the popular vote to Carter's 41.0%.
