Peter Vellios, 54, a native of Waukesha, died of cancer April 28 at the University of California-Los Angeles Hospital
Vellios joined Western Airlines as a mechanic in 1948, and was an engine inspector with the firm when he died. He also had his own engine shop attached to his house. He was a specialist in repairing and restoring antique airplane engines.
Surviving are his wife Ernestine and sons Harry and George, all of North Redondo Beach; daughter Mrs. Diana Hoy of Torrence,
Cal.; sister Mrs. Julia Larson of Corvallias, Ore. and mother Mrs. Celia Vellios of Waukesha.
Burial was in Pacific Crest Cemetery.

Sylvia R. Ladick, Peter H. Vellios Wed in California
St. John's Chrysostom Catholic church at Inglewood, Cal., was the scene of the wedding on September 15 of Miss Sylvia Rosetta Ladick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George J. Ladick, Vesper, and Peter H. Vellios, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vellios, Waukesha. Mrs. Stephen Schley sang "Ave Maria" during the nuptial high mass.
The bride was attired in a white net over satin dress which featured a ruffled hoop skirt caught up with rhinestones. A full veil fell from an orange blossom crown. She carried a bouquet of white roses and gardenias.
Maid of honor was Mrs. Lee Horton, Sacramento, Cal., a cousin of the bride, wearing pink net and a matching ruffled headdress. She wore a cross and chain, gift of the bride. George Neidhard, Inglewood, friend of the groom, served as best man.
A reception for 28 guests was held at the Unique Coffee shop in Los Angeles. The bride is a 1941 graduate of the Rudolph High school and has recently been employed at the Woolworth store in Inglewood. The groom graduated from high school in Waukesha and is now attending school in Los Angeles. He served for several years in the armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Vellios are now living in Inglewood Out-of-town guests included Mrs. Harry Vellios, Waukesha, and Miss Sophie Ganas, Chicago.
