Robert Pitt was born in 1855 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut United States to William Pitt and Annette Burtenette, and had siblings William A. Pitt, Mary Ellen Pitt, Charles Burbank Pitt, James Walter Pitt, Edwin Samuel Pitt, Henry Washington Pitt, and Annette Burnett Pitt. Robert Pitt died at age 24 years old in 1879 in Stamford.
