    Russell Sage Hahn was married to Christiane J. Hahn., who was born in France in 1918 and was naturalized in 1947. Russell and Christiane were the parents of Robert R. Hahn, born 1948 in Washington, D.C. Russel has created a poignant and loving tribute website to his father, Colonel Hahn, at . Russell Hahn was a Colonel in the United States Army during WW2, the Korean War, and Vietnam. According to Army records, he served in the Army from Nov 1 1942 to Aug 31 1964. He earned the LEGION OF MERIT w/ OLC and a BRONZE STAR. There seems to be some confusion about the dates of his service in the Army. Another record says that he enlisted in the Army on 8 Aug 1928 and was promoted to (at least) a Sergeant before WWII. He was promoted to Warrant Officer on 14 May 1942 and accepted a commission as Captain, AUS, on 1 Nov 1942. Russell S. Hahn's grave was shown in the movie "The Presidio".
