Spaulding Rogers of Wakefield, Washington County, Rhode Island was born on August 20, 1913 in Au Sable Forks, Clinton County, New York United States to Henry Geer Rogers and Ada (Spaulding) Rogers. He had siblings James Rogers and John Rogers. He married Elizabeth (Firth) Rogers, and had children Henry Rogers, Elizabeth Rogers, and Molly Rogers. Spaulding Rogers died at age 67 years old in April 1981.

  • Introduction

    He was born in Au Sable Forks, NY , son of Henry Geer and Ada Spaulding Rogers. He was a professor of psychology and a department chairman at Rockford College in Rockford IL. Dr. S. Rogers retired in 1976 after 30 years of teaching. He was an author of articles on behaviorism and received grants including one Smith-Mundt Grant to teach at the University of Ankara in Turkey..He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity and Sigma XI Honorary Society. Spaulding was a captain in World War II and he was knighted by the Belgium government for his role in preparing for the Normandy Invasion, Knight of the Crown in 1944.
