Susan (Hummer) McSween
A photo of Susan McSween. Susan (Hummer) McSween was my GGG grandmother's sister. Born December 30, 1845 near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, she is most known today as the "Cattle Queen of New Mexico". She was married to Alexander McSween until he was shot dead in the doorway of their home, following the Lincoln County War in 1878. She was also acquainted with Billy The Kid. She died January 3, 1931.
