The garment factory was on the 8th, 9th, and 10th floors of a building in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. Keeler was also involved with the Soviet naval attaché and charges of espionage were feared. No proof of spying was ever found.

1986 - When she was 75 years old, on September 8th, the Oprah Winfrey Show went into national syndication. A popular talk show, it was number 1 in the ratings since its debut. The last show aired on May 25, 2011.

1995 - In the year of Thelma B Blackwell's passing, on October 16th, the Million Man March took place on the National Mall in Washington DC.
