My friend
Twila came into my life at a time when we both needed the friendship we shared in high-school. We would sit on her bed some afternoons while she told of great adventures she'd had growing up on Pine Ridge. Coincidentally one of her sisters was also named Audrey. Years after our life journeys took us in different directions I dreamt she died. I felt the sadness long before it was confirmed she was no longer on this earth. I miss my beautiful friend and still imagine her riding in a pickup truck with her siblings and cousins laughing and having a good time. 🌹

My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!
