Did you know?
In 1894, in the year that Vino Benning was born, large reserves of oil were discovered on the Osage Indian reservation in Oklahoma. Previously thought to be "useless" land - not even good for farming - the tribe had bought the land themselves. The discovery of oil made the Osage the "richest group of people in the world" at the time.
Did you know?
In 1908, Vino was only 14 years old when Henry Ford developed the first Model T automobile, often called the Tin Lizzy or flivver. Produced from 1908 through 1927, it first sold for $850 - which made it affordable for every middle class family. Previously, cars were the province of the upper class and the introduction of the Model T and its availability changed U.S. culture. Within days of its release, over 15,000 cars had been ordered.

The Art of Photography Has Changed Through The Centuries
Taking photos wasn’t as easy in the past as it is today. People couldn’t just take selfies on a whim, and not just anybody could take a photo. Expensive heavy machinery and slow technology required professional photographers to capture special moments in time. Creating a photo was a time intensive event that relied entirely on the abilities of the photographer. Photography was considered a mix of science and art, and photographers made magic.
