Birth: April, 1861 Louisville Jefferson County Kentucky, USA Death: Jan. 24, 1931 Fort Myers Lee County Florida, USA The son of two immigrants from Germany, William Frederick Striebel was born at the start of US Civil War period in April 1861 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. ---------------------------------------- WILLIAM FREDERICK STRIEBEL marries CAROLINE NETTIE SHINVILLE William and Nettie produced son Louis Benjamin Striebel(b.1885, d.1968) who was born to William and Nettie at Cooper Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. Nettie's death in 1888 from Bright's Disease left him the sole parent of their son Louis Benjamin. ------------------------------------------ WILLIAM FREDERICK STRIEBEL marries CORA PHEOBE SNOW: William Frederick Striebel married Cora Pheobe Snow around 1892-93. She was born on 28 NOV 1875 in Allegan, Allegan Co., MI and died in 22 OOCT 1912 in Berrien County, MI of pulmonary tuberculosis. Her burial location is unknown to author but a record shows her burial in Paw Paw, Michigan. Cora's parents were her father Eber Rice SNOW b: SEP 1846 in NY, and her mother Verlinder HELLER b: 25 FEB 1853 in Van Wert, Van Wert Co., OH William & Cora's children were: 1. Doris STRIEBEL --------------------------------------------- DEATH INFORMATION FOR WILLIAM FREDERICK STRIEBEL 18 years 2 months after the death od his wife Cora Pheobe Snow (Striebel) William perished in Florida.William Frederick Striebel's STATE OF FLORIDA DEATH record is found in Volume 489, Certificate No. 1142. It states that he lived 14 years in Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida primarily at the Royal Palm Hotel. The record also states that he died at the Lee Memorial Hospital of pneumonia, and bronchitis (and also had a heart lesion). He was residing and working at the Royal Palm Hotel, in Fort Myers, Florida. His body was transported to Hillside Cemetery for interment with wife Nettie Shinville (Striebel). The remains will be taken to Plainwell this morning for internment!" Nettie Striebel died on Monday, February, 20, 1888. Nette was 27 at death and was thus born around between February 20, 1860 and February 20, 1861.
