Child labor legistlation "very necessary." Washington, D.C., May 18. Katherine Lenroot, Chief of the Children's Bureau, Department Labor, appeared before the Senate Commerce Committee today as hearing on three child labor measures opened today. Declaring that Child Labor Legislation is "very necessary" Miss Lenroot added "we ought to study the openings under recent Supreme Court decisions to reach a part of the child labor problem," 5/18/1937
