This photo is from the Lewis album kept by my Aunt Belle. We don't know whether she is a daughter (or maybe a grandaughter) of Great Uncle Walter. In the genealogy done by Loretta Lewis Cowen, there was a daughter 'Eva' born June 7, 1877 and also a daughter 'Lula.' So it is a small mystery just where she fits in.
People in photo include: Iva Lula Lewis
She's precious, Looking quite closely, parts of the picture appear to be a bit blurry. I think her hands are just fine, it appears that it may lack clarity in parts of the actual picture. None the less, the picture is just great.
It does appear her one hand doesn't exist and the other arm and hand seems too large and out of place. I can't see how the camera could have made such a blur or mistake like some claim. The truth may be the child was born deformed..whatever the situation she is a beautiful child and I hope she had a long happy productive life. Upon further looking at the picture to me the left leg (as you look at the picture) doesn't look right, the sock looks wrong and under the white dress appears to be some sort of brace
