Description:
Cowboy standing on a white horse, aiming a handgun at the photographer. Newton Kansas was known from it's beginnings as "bloody and lawless â the wickedest city in the west." On August 19, 1871, the Gunfight at Hide Park occurred in Newton. It had a higher body count than the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral in 1881. Perhaps this cowboy is trying to live up to Newton's reputation!
