Daniel Nathan, Ellery Queen
Daniel Nathan and his cousin, Manford (Emanuel) Lepofsky, created the character Ellery Queen in 1928.
While Daniel Nathan used the alias Frederic Dannay and Manford Lepofsksy, they both also used the name Ellery Queen. Confusing!
Here, Daniel Nathan is seen with James Yaffe (who became a novelist as well) - I think that Ellery is signing an autograph.
