Beautiful woman! I wonder if the style of the dress is a cultural thing. Do you think the gauze that is bunched behind her head is a veil? It looks like an outer "jacket" that is over her dress.

I believe that is a hood as it is attached under her chin.

Not early 1900's - but this idea, since Delina's seems to have an attached "cape" [external link]

She looks to be around 18 to maybe 20 years old, putting the wedding in the late 1920s. I believe what she has on over the dress is a cape. The part in the back could be either a hood that's been pushed down or a high collar. They were popular in the 1920s. I've seen headbands like hers in other bridal pictures. There may or may not be a veil attached...but with the high collar or hood, I'd think not. Below is a picture of the type of cape that was popular. A couple of my aunts had this type...though not bridal.

I looked her up on Ancestry. She was Delina Locati (born France 1908), arrived USA 1914. On 1920 census with her parents in CA. Could not find marriage record. Married to Antone Pagliero. They had daughter Mary Jean in 1931. Antone was a potter, worked in porcelain mfg, as did his father. Both of Delina's parents were born in Italy, per the 1930 census.

The height of fashion with the cloak and the hairdo and the headpiece. The huge bouquet also totally stylish.
I would say it is 1920 s. My grandmother had a very similar getup in 1920
