J. H. Shoults was the son of George Jr. & Lucinda Shoults. George Jr. was born Dec. 12, 1809 in Jefferson Co., MO. Lucinda McGuire was born 1820 in MO. George Shoults Jr. was the son of George Sr. and Victoria Shoults. George Sr. was born abt. 1771 in PA. Victoria Tesson Shoults was born 19 March 1780. George Sr. was born to Christ. C. & Barbara Chafer/Shafer?? Shoults. Christ C. was born between 1738-1750. Barbara was born abt. 1748. They reach Missouri by between 1793 and 1798. We believe he was a veteran of the Rev. War and the French/Indian War. We have found indivuals of this name in those wars but cannot conclusively prove this. He was granted a land grant from the Spanish government and was there when the French sold the land to the USA.
