Jake ROBEY
I have in my possession an old photograph of Jake ROBEY which was taken at the Brown’s Gallery in Indianapolis, IN in the 1870’s or 1880’s. Jake appears to be in his 20’s or 30’s at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather this information regarding Jake and his family:

Jacob “Jake” Foltz ROBEY was b. 27 Feb 1854 in Indianapolis, IN to parents John Randolph ROBEY (1795-1871) and Lovina or Lovinea or Lavina “Loveny” AULT (1817-1880 or 1890) who were married 10 Jun 1838 in Marion Co., IN. Jake was one of 9 children born to this couple including Hezekiah; John Randolph; George W.; Mary Elizabeth; Phebe or Phoebe Jane; Francis “Frank” Marion; Isaac Furnace; Jacob “Jake” Foltz; and Jeremiah Henry or Hunter ROBEY, all born between 1838 and 1858. Jake died 8 Apr 1918 in Wayne, IN and is buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.

I am hoping to be able to get this wonderful old treasure back to family. If you are a member of this ROBEY Family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: at Brown's Gallery in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana United States
