I am of the Jeans out of Canada then down into Bay City, Michigan. Are there any connections here?

This might be part of my mom's family. But she is a Johnson. I knew her adopted folks lived in bay city.

It is popular belief that there are 2 JEANS clans. One out of Canada and one from France and England. You need to consider name spellings when researching. JEAN/JEANS JEANES/JEANNES ect ect.....

Our JEAN/JEANS are out of Franklin County, NC and can be documented as early as 1790. They seem to have gone to NC from VA. We are unclear as to how they got to VA. Any help appreciated.

I am of the Jean family out of VA>Stokes Co., NC>GA>TX>LA. My LA Jean family added an "e" to the name about 1900.
