Larry Kert
He was in COMPANY as a replacement for Dean Jones. When he told me this, I said I would make sure he would be in Earl Wilson's column with a photograph. Earl Wilson was in 200 newspapers and was a good friend of mine, and Larry needed the publicity.
The next day I dropped by his apartment at noon with a few copies of the New York Post. He opened his door, and said, "What do you want from my life?" I said, "I got you in Earl Wilson's with your photograph." I handed him the POST papers.
He rolled his eyes and hung his head. It was too late. He lost his free publicist. I turned and walked away.
