I can see her whacking a kid over the head with her umbrella if they got out of line! She looks really interesting.

Missed or not missed. Photos often found in 2nd hand shops are sold by the younger generations.
After the person who owns them dies. I spotted a beautiful album in a shop in Nsw.
I was told it had been sold because
1 the person who sold it had no idea who these people were.
2 they dont care
3 they only see the $ signs.
So he was selling each pic for $5each and the album for a lot larger sum.
I was saddened that this could happen.
All I hoped was that whomever brought the photos loved them.

She reminds me of miss Almira gulch from the wizard of oz . Almost too proper and poised , very intolerant of the excesses of youth and roaming dogs . 🤣. But I’m sure , many perfectly wonderful natured people looked full of themselves . It was the times and the acceptable pose for a picture .

No doubt . I’ve tried corsets in the past , none- in with the ties, and they’re brutal . That older females and pregnant women wore them , is unconscionable .

She puts me in mind of Frances McDormand , the eyes and the set of the mouth, she looks quite bemused. Great photo 🙂.

John Illenye when my grandmother died, we found pictures of a child in a coffin. No clue who it is, think it was tossed. There was other photos too, all gone.

P.d. Lovato always important to write on the back in pencil every thing you know about the person or event in the photo and hand them down to someone actually related to them if you can - and if they care

She's possibly a widow. . She has an umbrella, which makes me think she's from a rainy place. It's possible she is from London. (putting on my Sherlock hat)
