I see these photos, from the war, and feel that I could step into the picture and talk to these men. I knew them, men like them, who came home to build the world we know. My teachers, boy scout leaders, my family. Uncles and a few of my aunts served, and they brought their values back and imparted them to us. Their lives were an example to us; it was a privilege to know them. What a truly great bunch of men and women.
