I wish I had family photos. I don't even know my family beyond my parents' parents, and most of them were gone by the time i was born so I didn't really know them. It makes me long for roots.

I know how that is, I didn't even know my Father, or any of my Grandparents, That's how come I started Tracing my Family Tree, after I got older, I have found family that I never dreamed that I had.

I didn't have any photos either, but I have found quite a few over the years as I have added to my family, even got one returned to me, of a Great Aunt, from Eugene, Oregon

Bambi: search for their stories! I went onto Ancestry.com and worked my way out to other sites. Found out my great uncle worked as a stage electrician on Broadway and married a burlesque queen. Found a photo of him online too! Seriously, it's worth searching. :)

Just an FYI for old glued photos. Use waxed dental floss place behind corner and saw back and forth gently and slowly.. Just be careful and it should separate from the photo page. Do some research i have heard you can use a blow dryer on low to melt the old glue.

Maybe her identity will never be known, but if we could get an idea of the title of the book she is posing with we may have an inkling of "when" the photo was taken. My guess as to the photos date would be the 1890s.
