WEYMOUTH family of Maine? I have 29 images from an album of my great grandmother ELLEN ELIZABETH WEYMOUTH, who married my great grandfather JOSEPH SMALL. I believe these might be from the Weymouth family of 4 boys and two girls.
Ellen Elizabeth Weymouth was born in 1847 in New Portland ME.
Individuals in this picture are unidentified. I feel sure the boy and girl on the bench are twins. And I have a picture of 4 boys I just posted who are also from this same family.
Hi Ellen, I believe you're right, the boy and girl are fraternal twins and the six of them are siblings I've been comparing the two tintypes and the boy on the bench with the girl is in the second photo seated left, he's wearing a different suit but you can see the watch chain that he's wearing in the first photo. The quality of the clothing and the accessories show that this was a fairly well to do family. my guess is that these were taken about 1885 The frizzed bangs on the young ladies was a style made popular by Lillie Langtree about that time. Since you know the state and the last name you could possibly identify these people by searching the 1880 census.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
