A photo of a young William Hollweg. This photo is believed to have been taken within the last year of young Bill's life. Born May 14, 1926 to Edward & Evelyn (Shaw) Hollweg, Belleville, NJ, his short life came to an end October 28, 1932 after contracting diphtheria. His mother, Evelyn, was very upset with the decision to take him to St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic, NJ feeling that she could better care for her boy. She insisted that the doctor was "an old drunk" and didn't trust him; possibly she was right?
