Nicholas Bridenbeck immigrated to New York, from Germany, by himself. His original name was Breidenbach and he changed it when he became a naturalized American citizen. According to his immigration records, he came over on the ship, named the Schiedam, and the Port of Departure was Rotterdam, Netherlands. He arrived in New York, New York on December 23, 1881. He was noted to be born in 1860 and was 21 years old when he arrived in America. His occupation was a farmer. Nicholas married
Catharine Noah and they settled in Castleton, New York. They had several children.
I do not know Nicholas's parents or other family back in Germany. I do not even know his exact birthday. This info is directly from my husband's parents.
