Joseph & Anna (Kolman) Komers, Wisconsin: Joseph Komers was born March 18, 1833 in Bohemia to Mathias & Elanora Komers. He married Miss Anna Kolman on September 8, 1861 in Muscoda, Grant County, WI. Joseph Komers died at the age of 47 on March 16, 1880 at his home in Muscoda, WI. Joseph's mother, Elanora Komers, was living with Anna & her children in Muscoda in the 1880 WI Census.
Anna (Kolman) Komers died April 19, 1902. The birthdate on her tombstone is July 8, 1842. Joseph's mother, Elanora Komers, died in 1883 at the age of 82, but there is no headstone for her. Mathias Komers died May 19, 1872 at age 74 years and 7 months. All of them were born in Bohemia. Several members of the Komers & Kolman families are buried at Blue River Valley Church (Pipal Cemetery), south of Muscoda in Grant County. (Take County Rd. G to County Q where you will find church signs. It's not far to Church Road. Take a left). The Komers graves are right near the front.
