  • Introduction

From what I hear Billy was a great carpenter and I don't know if that sorta thing can be passed down a bloodline but, never being able to meet my grandfather did not stop me from acquiring his skills. All my life I feel this urge to do carpentry, I tell people that ask what made you want to do carpentry I always reply must be in my blood (referring to Billy Sabella ) :o)

I have his photo on my wall he is holding my brother (also named Billy) who was about to turn 5yrs in a few days. My brother Billy also passed. It was really odd out of 5 people in the house only my father and brother died. About 2 months before daddy died just off the wall for no reason he said to me. "If I die, I'm taking my son" Then it happened just that way. By the way my father was no the one who started the fire. It was his wife's brother who fell asleep smoking. He got out and the children of my fathers wife got out but my brother who was in the same room did not.

My father had bad back problems. He fell off a scaffold while working. My father has 3 children in order: Myself, my sister (7yrs younger) and my brother (Billy- who passed). He liked dogs and usually always had more then 1. He was very good at training them. One day he had be laughing so hard. Like I said he loved to fish. He had a boat. Anyway I was at his house and I wanted to get something to eat. So he said get something out of the fridge. When I opened the fridge door I was surprised and I saw a tray (what the heck is that I was thinking) Then daddy yelled out to me don't get my fish bate! I have never known anyone to keep a tray of live fish bate in their fridge! No to mentioned it smelled.

Wow what a good looking dad I had! This is my father. He was kind and loving to me and my sister Diana. He also liked to play cards in fact he liked to play board games. He showed me magic card tricks. He took me hunting and fishing. He worked hard. He was very understanding and always did anything he could for me. My sister Diana reminds me of him. She has his curly hair! She is 7yrs younger then me so I do not know how much she remembers, but dad and grandma used to favor her. And no wonder Diana was such a cutie! Our father took us to movies and even the zoo. He was a carpenter and he also worked for grandma and grandpa. He did not like to fight or yell. He would said "I concede" funny I was so impressed every time he would say that. I think he took after his mother (my grandma) she was like that too. He died suddenly, and it took me 2yrs to over come it and accept it. He was so young. But looking back I am not sad any more, thinking of his sudden death just reminds me of how lucky I was to have him for a father.

-Always in my thoughts and heart,
Your loving daughter
