Bunky Lucas died at age 68 years old on October 28, 1977 at Ardmore, Oklahons in Carter, and was buried on October 31, 1977.

Daughter-in-law - Elizabeth Galyon Lucas
Bunky is buried in Lucas/Harjo private family cemetery east of Wetumka Oklahoma state highway #9, as is his parents Nanie Lucas ,Lucy Harjo Lucas and his wife Ola Webb Lucas along with many other relatives .
