leo Glen Cummings Dies in Plane Accident: Plane Crash Yesterday at Nowata Fatal to C.G. Cummings, Delaware

Cleo Glen "Braz" Cummings, 30, operator of a pool hall and domino parlor at Delaware, where he had resided since he was a child, was injured fatally early last night, when the pusher-type plane he was piloting crashed at an air field one mile north of Nowata.

Witnesses said the plane, owned by Cummings, went virtually straight down from an altitude of about 400 feet. He suffered a crushed chest and broken bones. He was thrown out of the plane as it struck the ground.

Mr. Cummings was a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Cummings of Delaware. He was graduated from Delaware high school as valedictorian of the class 1928. Besides his parents, he is survived by five brothers, Clem Cummings of Coffeyville, Clay Cummings of Nowata and Carl, Clad and Junior Cummings, all at home; and three sisters, Mrs. Erma Dodd of Pawhuska, Miss Emma Cummings of Perry, Okla., and Isla Cummings of Tulsa.

Funeral services, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Cecil Wells, will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Delaware Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be in the Lenapah cemetery.

Obituary:
Funeral Held for Plane Crash Victim
The funeral service for the late C.G. Cummings, of Delaware, who came to his death in a plane crash at the Nowata airport Sunday evening, was held at 2:30 this afternoon at the Methodist church at Delaware with Re. Cecil Wells, Pastor of the the church, in charge.

The church was filled to overflowing by the relatives and many friends of the young Delaware business man. He had always been very popular, when he was in high school, and later when he entered into the business field, and this popularity was reflected in the large attendance and the beautiful flowers.

The floral offerings were so numerous they were not only grouped about the bier, but on each side. Following the service the funeral cortege made its way to the Lenapah Cemetery where there was a short grave service and burial was made.
