Corinne Elizabeth Simmons was born 17 Sep 1911 in Grove Center, Union Co., Kentucky. She was the daughter of Claude John and Nancy Hanks (nee Marrs) Simmons.

Corinne joined her husband in Texas while he was recupperating at the military hospital base. During that time she worked there as a chauffer to the officers.
She enjoyed watching TV and movie westerns. Corinne worked in needlepoint and crafted crazy quilts. She is remembered as a down-to-earth, good-natured woman who never gave up being a flapper!
