She received many awards and was the first female in the Anthony Wayne District to become District Commissioner and District Club Commissioner. Over the years she volunteered for many nonprofit organizations including the prosecutors Victim Witness Program, Eleanor Kahle Senior Center, MADD, and Parents of Murdered Children (POMC). As a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was their card ministry.
