4 Memories, Stories & Photos about George

George Burns | Gracie Allen
George Burns | Gracie Allen
George Burns and Gracie Allen, taken around the time of their wonderful television series (1950 - 1958). They were SO funny! at the end of each show, George would say "Say good-night, Gracie" and Gracie would say "Good-night Gracie".

George Burns and Gracie Allen met and became an act in vaudeville. Gracie played the "dumb" one but she was anything but dumb in real life. Her comedic timing was impeccable. George was the straight man. George always said that Gracie made the act, Gracie said that George made it. What a team, on stage and in real life.

Gracie died in 1964 and George never married again, always missing Gracie.

Moose McCormick is my great-Uncle on my mother's side. His sister Ida married an Adams.
Janet - so the picture of "Moose" McCormick that you uploaded today (with his brothers and sister) is the same Moose who is in this picture and played baseball? That is so cool - and so neat to see pictures of him at a young age. What a fascinating family tree you have! Thank you for connecting the two pictures!
