    Položil svůj mladý život v boji proti nepříteli jako věrný syn své země a statečný obhájce naší svobody. ´´. . . . . . země česká domov můj ! ,, Missing on patrol in the Bay of Biscay. At 12:15 and 12:30 am captured last report:,, Attacked by enemy fighters .....'' Together died with him Tofel Pavel, Šipula František, Sobotka Vladimír, Lenc Jan a Bečvář Karel. His name is remembered at the Air Forces Memorial at Runnymede where are listed one hundred and forty nine Czechoslovaks missing airmen. Runnymede Memorial Panel 82. Nezvěstný s letounem Welington KX-B, DV665 z operačního letu nad Biskajským zálivem . Ve 12:15 a 12:30 hod. zachycena poslední zpráva: "Napadeni nepřátelským stíhačem....." Současně s nim zahynuli: Tofel Pavel, Šipula František, Sobotka Vladimír, Lenc Jan a Bečvář Karel. Vzpomenut na panelu 82 v pamatníku letců Runnymede.
