Jerome Lester "Curly Howard" Horwitz 1903 - 1952

Jerome Lester Horwitz was born on October 22, 1903 at Bensonhurst in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York United States to Jenne Horwitz and Solomon Nathan Horwitz, and had siblings Moses Harry "Moe Howard" Horwitz, Samuel Horwitz, Irving Horwitz, and Benjamin Howard. He married Elaine Julia Ackerman on June 7, 1937 and they later divorced on July 11, 1940. They had a child Marilyn Howard. He also married Valerie Joan (Grenache) on July 31, 1947, and they were married until Jerome Lester's death on January 18, 1952. They had a child Janie (Howard) Hanky.

Three Stooges | Moe, Larry, & Curly
Moe, Larry, and Curly - or Moe, Shemp, and Larry - the Three Stooges. Most of my "Stooges" watching has involved Moe, Larry, and Curly, perhaps because those were the characters shown on tv when I was young. Which version of the Stooges did you watch?

(I have to say, in general, "Stooge watching" is a male thing. My boyfriends/husband have always found them funny - I find them kinda' dumb. Sorry!)
