John Emanuel Floodberg was born on December 17, 1915 in Sheridan, Wyoming. He is the son of Oscar Theodore Floodberg (1882-1959) and Ester Christina Johnson (1894-1983). He had siblings Ida (born 1873), Caroline (born 1874), Oscar Theodore Jr (1918-2009), Grace Patricia, and Delwin Edward Floodberg (1923-1973). He was living in San Diego, California and enlisted into the Coast Artillery Corps on November 1, 1945 in Fort Macarthur in San Pedro California. He was a Sergeant and enlisted for the Hawaiian Department. He served in the US Army from April 6, 1942 until October 31, 1945. On October 24, 1937 he married Louise Carrie Jackson (1916-2005) in Chula Vista, California. They had a son together and later seperated. He then married Jeff Edytha Wonsley (1916-1994) on October 1, 1949 in El Paso, Texas. The couple had three daughters together. John and Jeff Edytha divorced on August 5, 1971. He then lastly married Irene D Reynolds (born 1929) on September 7, 1971 in El Paso, Texas, USA.
