Leonard Fairhall 1864 - 1940

Leonard Fairhall of Box Hill, Whitehorse City County, VIC Australia was born on November 22, 1864 in Buller, West Coast New Zealand to William Fairhall and Susannah (Trotman) Fairhall. Leonard Fairhall had siblings Ruth Fairhall and Albert Francis Fairhall. He married Sarah Jane (White) Fairhall in 1887. They had children Cameron Leonard Fairhall and Sarah Jane Fairhall. He would also marry Elizabeth (White) Fairhall in 1893. They had children Albert George Fairhall and Alfred Ernest Fairhall. He and Marcella (Sellings) Murdoch Fairhall married in 1901. They had a child Constance Marcella Fairhall. He and Ida Pauline Hunter Fairhall married in 1936. Leonard Fairhall died at age 75 years old on July 2, 1940 in Box Hill, VIC Australia, and was buried at Box Hill Cemetery Middleborough Rd, in Box Hill.

    Leonard Fairhall was born on November 22, 1864, in the town of Buller, West Coast, New Zealand. His parents, William Fairhall (1828-1904) and Susannah Trotman (1828-1905), were both 36 years old when they welcomed him into the world. He had many siblings including Mary Grace, Ruth, William, Rose, Francis Frank, Rowland, Kate, Susannah Rose, Albert Ernest, Florence, Thomas, and John Albert Fairhall. Over the course of his life, Leonard was married four times and had six children - four sons and two daughters. He was married to Sarah Jane White in 1887 and they had a son together. Sarah passed away 5 years after they were married, and Leonard then married her sister, Elizabeth White in 1893. They had multiple children together before she passed away in 1900. The next year in 1901, he married Marcella Emily Sellings and they had a daughter together. She passed away in 1933. He then also married Ida Pauline Hunter. On July 2, 1940, Leonard Fairhall passed away at the age of 75 in Box Hill, Victoria, Australia, where he was laid to rest.
