Obituary

Marjorie 18 months old 2nd class was having lunch with her mother when the torpedo struck. A man handed Charlotte a life belt. Charlotte climbed the deck carrying her baby when the ship tilted and managed to get on a lifeboat. When the stern was rising the lifeboat tipped over and Marjorie gave a terrible scream and fell in the water. The suction caused her and her mother to be separated. Charlotte survived the experience but Marjorie was lost. Her body was found and buried in the common grave in Cobh, Ireland.
