Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Michael

I was Michael’s girlfriend when he was killed and was living with him in Cottageville. I had just gotten out of Naval service where I had meet him. He was a solid sweetheart of a man. He would work hard to keep others happy with little regard to his own needs. Industrious,, hard working and always smiling, of course he was taken from this world too soon. On the night of his death, he was standing watch on his ship. His mother called him and wanted him to get her luggage from our house. He found someone else to stand watch and he got on his motor cycle to come home and retrieve the luggage for her . And he was hit by a car of drunks. I found out the next day as I attended a fun run in Folly Beach. He was trapped in servitude to a domineering mother and his death at the time was thought by myself and his friends to be a release for him from the trap he was in. God bless him where ever he is.
