When he was 27 years old, in 1920, Otto was a musician in a theater. By 1950, he was a laboratory assistant at a testing company.

Otto Donato was born to Richard and Magdalena "Lena" (Hauser) Donati. Both of his parents were born in Germany. He had a sister, Ida. Otto married Ann M. Tunney and they had Mary Ida, Richard J., and Edward F. Donati. He was survived by five grandchildren. see Otto Donati: Obituary.

Donati; brother of Sister Maria Emeric IHM; also survived by five grandchildren. Friends received at Wm. Slater & Son, Inc, Virginia Avenue and Kearsarge Street, Mt. Washington, until 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 30.
