Obituary Add details

Renee Verniers was traveling on the Empress of Ireland as 3rd class with her parents and five siblings to visit Belgium. Empress of Ireland collided with a Norwegian liner in the middle of a fog at Saint Lawrence river at 2:00 AM and sank in only 14 minutes. Most 3rd class passengers were trapped below the flooded decks. Renee perished in the sinking among her parents and siblings. None of their bodies were found.
