In describing my father, Robert C. Neary Jr not only was he a dedicated business owner and was compassionate with families dealing with the deceased, but he was a passionate father as I was his only daughter after four sons. Since my birth, he was my hero and was always there for me. Then when I was 10 years old, he raised me along with my step mother. He came to my soccer games and school activities as he ran a well know funeral home in our town. He took me to McDonalds every Thursday before his Kiwanis meetings from age 10 until I was a senior in high school. It was "our" time. Not only was he honest and faithful to all he knew, but he had integrity and always lived by "doing the right thing." He called it being a "straight shooter." He raised me with values and high morals, which I have now passed onto my son.
