My Grandfather died the day I was born. He was in the hospital, and refused, literally, to pass away until his first Grandchild was born. After my birth, I was rushed in my Mother's arms to his room. She placed me in my grandfathers arms, and he looked at her and smiled and said, "You did good, Rita" to my mom. With that, he closed his eyes and passed away peacefully. Although I am a female, I take great pride in carrying the name "Joey" after my Grandfather, Robert Joseph, who went through life being called Joey.
