In a pile of old family photos my mother found a very old photo from a New Brunswick photographer with this inscription on the back: "Sarah Rankinback, my dearest cousin" She assumes it was written by her grandmother, Almeda Cushman, who spent at least a little time as a child in New Brunswick. In at least one death announcement, Sarah was listed as "Miss" indicating that she was a spinster and probably had no offspring. But she might have had siblings who had offspring. We'd love to find a family member to give the photo to.
