The Danbom family were related to the Andersson family who boarded the Titanic.

Gilbert boarded Titanic as 3rd class with his parents Ernst and Anna. The Danboms were relatives of the Andersson family. On April 14, 1912 the ship struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean at 11:45 pm and sank by splitting in two at 2:20 am. The Danboms were last seen with the Anderssons on the boat deck and swept by a cosmic wave. Gilbert was only 4 months old when he perished in the sinking.
